Journey Idea Outline
Day 1: Depart UK on overnight flight to Cochin
Day 2: Arrive in Cochin and meet your transfer to the Taj Malabar Hotel. This evening you will enjoy a relaxing cruise around the harbour.
Day 3: This morning you will be collected and driven to Thattekad and The Hornbill Camp for the next two nights. This tented camp blends in with the jungle and offers views of the river Periyar and the bird and wildlife that visit its shores.
Day 4 to 5: Two full days to enjoy kayaking, trekking and bird watching.
Day 6: Continue on to Munnar and the Windermere Estate for the next two nights.
Day 7: This morning you will be collected for your sightseeing tour of the local tea estates and museum.
Day 8: Experience a night on a rice barge with a cruise exploring the small rural canals giving you time to see local village life.
Day 9: Drive to Marari Beach Resort. Fifty-two cottages are separated from the sea by stretching palms, the perfect place for exploring the local fishing villages or relaxing in the sunshine at the end of your tour.
Day 10 to 11: Two full days at leisure at Marari Beach Resort.
Day 12: Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
